Adopt An Island Ministry

The Lord has blessed Westwood with such beautiful grounds and facilities!   As you know in caring for your own home, it takes a tremendous amount of time, energy and effort to keep the lawn maintained.  With over 50 acres to care for, we feel the Lord would be pleased with using our own church family to help care for the many islands.  With that in mind, we’ve established the “Adopt an Island” ministry which will provide the opportunity for Sunday school classes, families or individuals to be responsible for an island and provide for its continual care by keeping weeds pulled, trimming bushes, etc.  This allows the Westwood family to take ownership in our grounds by providing care for one year!  Each island will have a sign displaying who has adopted it and keeping it beautiful!  This is a great opportunity for folks to plug in and take pride in our campus.  If you would like to “adopt an island,” please contact Manuel Smith, 421-7813, immediately.
